The Yıldız Palace Photography Collection at the London Book Fair

As part of a project carried out by Our University's Sultan Abdülhamid II Application and Research Center under the courtesy of the presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the books "British-Ottoman Relations through the Yıldız Palace Photography Collection" and “American-Ottoman Relations Through The Yıldız Palace Photography Collection” are introduced by the Culture and Tourism Ministry at the London Book Fair between 10th-12th Apr 2018. The fair is opened by The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to London.

The project was implemented under the sponsorship of the presidency of the Republic of Turkey and examines the political, social, cultural and economic relations of the last days of the Ottoman Empire through the photography collection of Abdülhamid II. The documentary, "Through Ottoman Eyes," had its international premiere in the fair. After the premiere at the London Yunus Emre Institute on April 12, at the Cultural Heritage panel, professors İlber Ortaylı and Vahdettin Engin commented on Abdülhamid II's time and the British-Ottoman relations through the Yıldız Palace Photography Collection.
