Turkey’s first additive manufacturing trade show will be organized with the support of YTÜ
The EXPO 3D Istanbul Fair, organized under the leadership of Yıldız Technical University and scheduled for September 17–19, 2026, will bring the future of additive manufacturing, 3D printing, and advanced production technologies to the forefront. Along with the transformation in artificial intelligence, automation, and digital manufacturing technologies, this event offers new career opportunities in fields such as 3D design, reverse engineering, and additive manufacturing.
Artificial intelligence, automation, and digital manufacturing technologies are reshaping not only production processes but also the professions of the future. Among the key areas of this transformation, 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies are creating a wide range of applications, from the defense industry to aviation, and from the automotive sector to healthcare.

Organized for the first time in Turkey under the leadership of YTÜ
EXPO 3D Istanbul, billed as Turkey’s first and only trade show focused on additive manufacturing, design, and advanced production technologies, will be held September 17–19, 2026, at the EXPO 3D Istanbul Exhibition Center with the support of Yıldız Technical University.
The event will address developments in additive manufacturing and 3D technologies, new production methods, and the applications of these technologies across various sectors.
“Focus on the production technologies of the future”
Yıldırım Ünverdi, Expo 3D Istanbul Fair Coordinator, called on prospective students during the college application period to focus not only on today’s popular professions but also on the production technologies of the future.
Noting that the global understanding of manufacturing is being reshaped by artificial intelligence, automation, and digital manufacturing technologies, Ünverdi stated that in the future, there will be a greater need not only for engineers but also for a workforce specialized in fields such as 3D design, digital manufacturing, and reverse engineering. Yıldırım Ünverdi said:
“Focus not on today’s popular professions, but on the production technologies of the next 20 years. The global approach to manufacturing is being reshaped by artificial intelligence, automation, and digital manufacturing technologies. In the future, there will be a need not only for engineers but also for specialists in fields such as 3D design, digital manufacturing, and reverse engineering.”
