YTU becomes the first Governmental University in Turkey to sign the United Nations Global Compact

Yıldız Technical University become the first participant from Turkey as a governmental university to United Nations Global Compact, which is the largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. 

Our University has hereby prioritized to achieve sustainable development goals for sustainable environment, economy and social life by participating in the world’s most comprehensive sustainability initiative. 

L'OREAL -UNESCO For Women in Science National Fellowship Program

Dear Academics,

L'ORÉAL UNESCO Fellowships for Women in Science are awards offered by a partnership between L'Oréal Turkey and the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO to promote, enhance and encourage the contribution of women pursuing their research careers in Turkey in the fields of the life and material sciences. The National Fellowships Programme initiated in 2003 is continuing to promote women in scientific research on a global scale. Six Fellowships will be awarded in 2019.

Infoday for the photonics 2019

Dear Academics,

An information day to brief potential proposers is organised in Brussels on January 18, 2019. The session will take place from 9:00 to 12:30.

Two calls for research proposals with an overall budget of EUR 75 million euros: ict-03-2019 "Photonics Manufacturing Pilot Lines for Photonic Components and Devices" and ict-05-2019c "Application driven photonics components" are awaiting the photonics community.

Achievement by Our Student

The Young Designer of the Year Award celebrates the original concepts of student and trainee designers from around the globe. This highly regarded award tasks young designers with a realistic client request to challenge their ideas, technical ability and aptitude for delivery.

Ae2 Project Team wins the 'Safety Award'

Co-hosted by Shell Turkey and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the fifth of Shell Eco-marathon Turkey, attended by 23 teams from 7 countries, was held from September 21st to 23rd at the TIM’s campus. Representing YTU in the contest, Ae2 Project Team ranked as the safest team and received the “Safety Award”.

The Yıldız Palace Photography Collection at the London Book Fair

As part of a project carried out by Our University's Sultan Abdülhamid II Application and Research Center under the courtesy of the presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the books "British-Ottoman Relations through the Yıldız Palace Photography Collection" and “American-Ottoman Relations Through The Yıldız Palace Photography Collection” are introduced by the Culture and Tourism Ministry at the London Book Fair between 10th-12th Apr 2018. The fair is opened by The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to London.
