R&D and Graduate Education Collaboration Between YTÜ and arabam.com
A University-Industry Cooperation Protocol regarding the admission of graduate students based on R&D projects was signed between the Institute of Natural Sciences at Yıldız Technical University and Arabam.com Internet and Information Services Inc.
A University-Industry Cooperation Protocol regarding R&D Project-Based Graduate Student Admissions was signed between the Institute of Natural Sciences at Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ) and Arabam.com Internet and Information Services Inc., with the aim of aligning academic expertise with the needs of the industry.-Industry Cooperation Protocol regarding R&D Project-Based Graduate Student Admissions was signed.
The protocol was signed by YTÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya and Arabam.com Deputy General Manager of Information Technologies İbrahim Özgön. Also in attendance at the signing ceremony were Prof. Dr. Selçuk Çebi, Director of the YTÜ Institute of Natural Sciences, and Merve Şen, R&D Manager at Arabam.com.
R&D Projects to Be Integrated with Graduate Education
Under this collaboration, Arabam.com employees will be able to link the R&D projects they are working on to graduate education programs at YTÜ. The goal is to ensure that industry-specific needs encountered within the company become the subject of master’s and doctoral theses, and to support academic research with application-oriented projects.

Academic knowledge will meet industry needs
Under the terms of the agreement, YTÜ’s academic expertise and research capacity will be combined with Arabam.com’s industry experience to foster joint initiatives. In this regard, the goal is to develop R&D projects tailored to the industry’s needs, translate scientific knowledge into practical applications, and strengthen the exchange of knowledge and technology between the university and industry.
Conducting R&D activities in conjunction with graduate education will enable research topics to be determined directly based on the challenges faced by the industry and ensure that the developed solutions are linked to real-world applications.
Contributing to the development of qualified human resources
It is expected that the work carried out through R&D projects under this collaboration will help employees deepen their expertise and contribute to the development of the qualified workforce needed by the industry.
It is also intended that the application-oriented research to be developed within the scope of university-industry collaboration will support the emergence of innovative products, services, and processes.
The protocol signed between YTÜ’s Institute of Natural Sciences and Arabam.com lays the groundwork for more strongly linking scientific research to sectoral needs by bringing together the university’s academic expertise and the industry’s practical experience through graduate education and R&D activities.
