The Workshop on Disasters and Preventive Measures, organized by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) and hosted by our university, will take place on April 24–25, 2026, at YTÜ Otağ-ı Hümayun.
The workshop will address the disaster risks facing Turkey—particularly earthquakes—from a scientific perspective, with a focus on a comprehensive approach to disaster management.
Comprising a total of six sessions, the workshop will feature the participation of expert scientists, researchers, and institutional representatives to evaluate numerous critical topics ranging from urban planning and structural safety to early warning systems and public awareness.
