The “Turkey Century Education Model Private School Teachers’ Workshop” will be held on September 4, 2026, at the YTÜ Davutpaşa Campus in collaboration with Yıldız Technical University, the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Private Education Association (ÖZDER).
Organized under the theme “The Journey from Knowledge to Wisdom in the Maarif Model,” the workshop will address the implementation processes of the Turkey Century Maarif Model in private schools. The program, where teachers will share their experiences and evaluations regarding the new education model, will comprehensively assess new trends in education and the various dimensions of the model.
As part of the workshop, Deputy Minister of National Education Prof. Dr. Cihad Demirli will deliver a lecture titled “New Directions and Approaches in Education within the Context of the TYMM.” YTU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya will deliver a speech titled “From Knowledge to Wisdom: The Ancient Roots and New Horizons of Maarif,” offering insights into the historical roots of the Maarif philosophy and its current educational vision.
Educator, author, and former member of the Ministry of National Education’s Curriculum and Instruction Board, Dr. Mehmet Baki Öztürk, will also address current developments that have contributed to the emergence of the Turkey Century Education Model.
In addition to conference sessions, the workshop will also feature workshops where, with the active participation of teachers, the implications of the Turkey Century Education Model for educational settings and its implementation processes will be evaluated.
