Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems Will Be Discussed at IEEE ASYU 2026

The IEEE ASYU 2026 Conference, which will address current developments in the field of intelligent systems, will be held from September 9–11, 2026, in collaboration with Yıldız Technical University and hosted by Özyeğin University. The conference will bring together researchers from various fields, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, autonomous systems, quantum computing, and smart systems.

The Innovations and Applications in Intelligent Systems (ASYU) Conference, which has been organized under the leadership of Yıldız Technical University since 2004, will be held this year at Özyeğin University’s Çekmeköy Campus. Conducted in both Turkish and English, the conference will facilitate the sharing of current developments regarding the use of smart systems across various sectors, in addition to academic research, and will foster interdisciplinary interaction.

Current topics in smart systems will be addressed

As part of IEEE ASYU 2026, smart system applications will be discussed across various fields, including healthcare, energy, transportation, engineering education, the defense industry, finance, and business. The conference program will include topics such as fuzzy logic, expert systems, autonomous systems, intelligent agents, hybrid intelligent systems, augmented and virtual reality, business intelligence, decision support systems, and image and video processing.

In addition, data science and knowledge discovery, data visualization, sensor and data fusion, data analytics, data security, the Internet of Everything, artificial intelligence applications, biometric systems, generative artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning are also among the conference’s topics. Quantum computing, evolutionary computing, intelligent optimization algorithms, blockchain applications, smart electronic systems, as well as issues related to technology, law, and ethics will also be discussed at the conference.

Invited speakers will share their experiences

The conference program will feature technical sessions and invited talks by leading experts in their fields. Dr. Kadir Durak, Founder of Qubitrium and a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Özyeğin University, will present a talk titled “Quantum Computing for Artificial Intelligence” as part of the conference program.

Dr. Mustafa Dayıoğlu, Senior Principal Researcher at TÜBİTAK, will deliver a presentation titled “Tracking the Agent’s Mind.” Dr. Evgeny Kharlamov, Senior Research Director of Industrial Artificial Intelligence at the Bosch Center for AI and Associate Professor at the University of Oslo, will meet with participants to deliver a talk titled “From Chatbots to Engineers: Reliable, Sovereign AI Agents for Engineering.”

Prof. Dr. Hazım Kemal Ekenel from the Department of Computer Engineering at Istanbul Technical University will also be among the conference’s invited speakers with his talk titled “Human-Centered Computer Vision Systems and Applications.”

AI applications will be evaluated in special sessions

The IEEE ASYU 2026 program will also feature special sessions on various topics. A special session titled “Reliable Industrial Systems: Verification, Validation, and AI-Based Testing Approaches in Safety-Critical Domains,” will examine the role of artificial intelligence in reliability and testing processes for critical industrial systems.

In the special session titled “AI-Supported Discovery, Analysis, and Practical Applications of Chaotic Systems,” organized by Prof. Dr. Fatih Özkaynak from Fırat University, studies and application areas related to AI-supported chaotic systems will be evaluated.
